So, as I read Nate Wallis' new story, I checked out the other things he has written and found some pretty neat things posted way back when that I don't think many new people have been able to find. We have 19 pages of General Discussion, and stories almost that far back that are unfortunately now buried.

I was trying to come up with ideas to help fix this. I suppose the easiest would be to make another forum group for stories and captions. But then, after a long enough time, we may end up with the same problem. A good problem, but still.

We also do, technically, have the main StuckPosing page, and could link to a story gallery from there. Either in HTML format or some kind of psuedo forum. But that might discourage comments and discussion about the stories.

Honestly, even though I am opposed to separate sub-forums, that the best short term solution would be to make a Creative Endeavors subforum and move the stories and cap there.

Anyway, just some thoughts.

I think we should create the subforum for stories.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I think it's the best option. We may even stimulate some other authors to start writing.

If we get too many stories in that forum, then we may need something a little more robust. But that would be a good problem.

How do we make this happen?

What I gather from the Garden, its not hard to do. But obviously one of the Admins will need to do it.

So I created a story section, but because I'm still new to this forum software, I'm going to have to figure out how we go about moving threads (usually there's a button, but I'm having trouble finding it).

On the Garden there is a left hand bar marked like this,
Move Topic  |  Remove Topic  |  Lock topic  |  Set topic sticky  |  Merge Topics

opposite the one marked
Reply  |  Notify  |  Mark unread  |  Send this topic  |  Print

But at least for me this isnt here on Stuckposing.

Hope that helps?

I found it (and moved some threads), though it isn't in the same place as it is for you on that forum. It's in a goofy place that's not entirely obvious.

Hey, this looks like it could work! I bet it'll bring a new interest in older stories, and hopefully encourage new and old writers to join in.

And it was probably a good idea to move my toy box thread there.

Anyway, I started from the back and picked out a bunch of the story threads I noticed:

That's what I noticed between pg 18 and 12, and it might make it easier for you to move them if the links are all in one spot.
