So, here I got wittering on about SL again :) Inspired by an inquiry from a forum member while in-world, I thought we could list some resources for clothes, skins & accessories useful for stuckplay on Second Life.
My openers...
Khayliwulf's latex doll skins for that shiny plastic doll look KCreation's chrome latex skin (mannequin/robot/statue) CMFF stone & metal skins for statues Draconic for jointed doll skins Grim Babies for goth-style abused rag-doll skins & winding keys
Bare Rose for some excellent gothloli costume Taliah Talamasca's beautiful Victorian dresse and underwear Lassitude & Ennui boots

Not on SL this sec, so these are all from memory. I'll add more when I get online later. All Dolled Up is a great place for dolly clothing, keys, skins, ect. They even have a clothing set you can put on that lets you turn any outfit into a jointed doll look. Dark Delights is where I got my blow up doll AV. Very kinky and fun Also, any robot lovers might want to check out 6ixth Sense. There a bit pricy, but there robot AVs are phenominal. Finally, in Latexia Spacestation, Wanda Goodnight hads a shop that sells mostly cells and cages. She does have a few doll related things there though. Like giant barbie boxes and action figure boxes to get locked in. And coolest of all, a doll pull string that anyone can pull to make you talk.

A little hack to stay logged in, so you don't need any anti-afk devices:
>> Activate the Client menu, if you don't have it already (CTRL-ALT-D)
>> Go to the Debug settings (near the bottom of the menu)
>> Click on the dropdown tab; the first option you can alter is AFKtimeout
>> Type in 99999999 (not sure how many 9's, just keep typing until you overfill the box)
>> Go to any other option (doesn't matter which), then back to AFKtimeout. It should now read -2147483 or something similar. That's it, close the menu and carry on.
AFAIK, you won't get logged out or go into AFK mode providing you don't minimise your SL window.

My question is, so you get all the neat doll skins and clothes and posing devices and so forth....
Now what?
Are there good places to go where you can display yourself to appreciative people? How do you go about finding others who share this passion, and particularly those who are creative and dedicated controllers? I've joined some of the groups, but there doesn't seem to be much talk on them.
This has been my perennial difficulty with SL -- the "all dressed up and no place to go" syndrome is strong. (Or in some cases, there are *so many* places to go, that you never find anyone when you get there!) Particularly for shy people like me.
Helpful suggestions appreciated!

Actually, yes there are a few places. Groups are a good place to start, mostly since it will give you a list of people with a similar intrests. That's how I met most of my fellow doll fans in SL. And trust me, I know what it's like to be shy. But IMing people and talking to them is a very good way to meet new ones. In fact, feel free to IM me anytime!

I never managed to get my Stuckposing shop & statue garden set up because of increasing expense & lack of time. Anyone in the Stuckposing SL group who has been in-world recently might know I've just added a couple of 'frieze' posers to my new home. A friend has donated a new mannequin poser she is working on, so I've left that (and a statue poser) out for folks to try too. I'm thinking of a couple more statue posers with perhaps one set up as a fountain by the hot tub. Any group members, friends or admirers are welcome to drop by and try it. There's a very basic freebie statue skin & hair 'hidden' in an urn on the patio.

Thanks Yora. The statue poses were made using Avimator, trying to get the body and limbs flat on a plane without looking completely unnatural. I'm glad you enjoyed the posing, and I'm sorry there's not more to do. The house turned out to be one the simplest builds I've ever done - I must finally be getting somewhere!! I'm already building something new, of course, but I intend to stick with that house for a while at least.
